Wining, Dining and……..Dancing – Our Guide to the perfect night out in Ibiza Town

Ibiza Town is the capital of Ibiza in more than one sense. Dominated by the majestic ancient fort of Dalt Vila, the town is rich in history and culture, and the winding streets hold a world of wonder of mystery within them. An abundance of shops, bars and restaurants can be found here, with such wide variety that there is something for absolutely everyone to enjoy.

It’s also one of our favourite spots for a night out, being home to some of the finest drinking, dining and dancing destinations to be found anywhere on Ibiza. In fact, there are so many wonderful places to choose from, you may find yourself wondering where to start?

We firmly believe that a good night starts with a good cocktail! And with this in mind, we recommend a trip through the cobbled streets of the Old Town, just near the gates to the Dalt Vila, discover Paradise Lost, a small yet perfectly formed eclectic and welcoming bar which serves quite possibly the best cocktails on the island. Open all year round, you are always assured of a very warm welcome and an excellent beverage to kickstart your night in the very best way! https://www.facebook.com/paradiselostibiza/

If fine wine with a decidedly bohemian vibe is your ideal way to sample some pre party drinks then head to Bar 1805. Run with typical exuberant French style by expert mixologist Charles Vexenat, Bar 1805 is now enjoying its sixth successful season, and continues to grow in style and substance each year. With one of the most extensive wine lists in Ibiza, it’s a fun, vibrant and cosmopolitan place for pre club drinks with a jazz filled soundtrack adding to the smooth vibe. http://www.bar1805ibiza.com/

Now, time to feast on some fabulous food to prepare you for the night ahead. For a sensational sushi experience, head to Kyuppido, an unbelievably elegant restaurant which enjoys pride of place at the very top of the Dalt Vila and indulge in some seriously good sake and sushi with arguably the best view on the island. This is a truly unforgettable venue, with a wonderfully romantic ambience, it would be impossible not to be enchanted by the fabulous food and unrivalled views over the town and the port.

For a more traditionally Ibicencan vibe, we simply adore La Bodega, a warm, welcoming and unpretentious restaurant and bar which has been delighting islanders and visitors alike with the finest tapas in town since 2005.

One new dining destination which has taken Ibiza Town by storm this summer and won rave reviews from international critics is El Portalon, also situated within the walls of Dalt Vila. This supremely elegant bar and restaurant was ´the´place to be back in the heady days of the 60´s and 70´s when it as the meeting place of choice for the bohemian set of artists and writers who flocked to the town each summer. After spending several years closed and derelict, it was revived with much love and dedication in 2016 by the team behind the much loved Babylon Beach club, and has been restored to its former glory. Working in partnership with the acclaimed culinary author and organic farmer Anne Sijmonsbergen and the chef Filppo Alberi, it has brought a new level of fine dining to the Old Town, using organic, locally sourced seasonal produce to create some of the most innovative and delicious dishes you could dream of. An absolute must for the foodies amongst you. https://www.elportalonibiza.com/

So, now your culinary appetites have been satisfied, it must be time to…..PARTY! And you are definately in the right place. Ibiza Town is the very heart and soul of the island´s party scene, boasting the biggest and best, and quite possibly famous nightclub in the world, the legendary Pacha. However, before you head towards the famous double cherry logo above their doors, take a few detours along the way as the town has a few more secrets up her sleeve.

We simply adore Lio, the decadent, opulent cabaret club, part of the Pacha family, which has been delighting guests with fabulous food, breathtaking decor and a sensational cabaret performance each and every night since it opened its doors in 2011. Tables at Lio are in the highest of demand, and can be fully booked for months in advance, however, arrive around 11pm, take a seat at the bar, and sip a divine cocktail whilst enjoying the unforgettable performance from the acrobats, showgirls, dancers and performers on the stage. An experience not to be missed. https://lioibiza.com/

Should you like to take a gamble in life, why not pay a visit to the Casino de Ibiza, conveniently located across the road from Pacha. As well as boasting a five star restaurant, this is also a fully functional and elegant casino, where you can take chance on blackjack or roulette, perhaps even winning enough to splash out on some champagne later in the night! http://www.casinoibiza.com/en/home.html

But now, for the grand finale, any night in Ibiza Town simply HAS to end in Pacha. The ultimate superclub which grew from very humble origins, having opened in the 60´s as a ramshackle old house, transformed into a small afterhours bar, Pacha is now a worldwide brand, with clubs across the globe. However, we believe that the Ibiza venue remains the very best of the bunch. A stellar cast of global superstar DJ´s clamour to play here every summer, and indeed, this is the venue that perhaps the most famous of all, David Guetta really made his name. Despite enjoying huge worldwide success, he still returns to host his iconic F*** Me I'm Famous parties every Thursday night, which are always a sellout. If that doesn´t float your musical boat and you prefer a more carefree, anything goes vibe, why not try the fun and friendly Flower Power parties which take place each Monday throughout the season. Fancy dress isn’t actually a requirement, however, most revellers really go to town with their outfits, so dust off your platforms and find the biggest afro wig in town and hit the dancefloor in style! https://pachaibiza.com/en/

Ibiza Town is cosmopolitan, crazy and colourful and we guarantee you will have a night to remember whenever you visit.
