Had your fill of paella, tapas and fresh seafood? Ibiza has a wonderful selection of traditional Spanish and Ibicencan restaurants which serve up the very spirit of the island, but sometimes, we all know that nothing is going to satisfy that hunger like a seriously good pizza, just like mama used to make! So, if you are craving a taste of Italy whilst in Ibiza, then here is our guide to the very best pizza restaurants on the island.

Over in San Antonio, situated just behind the famous Sunset Strip, David´s have been serving excellent pizza and pasta to the holidaymakers and residents of San Antonio for nearly 20 years. The key to their enduring success is their prime location, affording a glimpse of the famous Ibizan sunset, their welcoming and friendly staff, and of course the excellent pizzas! We love the David´s special, with cream, parma ham, mushrooms, goats cheese and mozzarella. Divine. All of the pizzas on their menu can be made as calzones should you wish.

Es Tanco – San Rafael

Right in the heart of the quaint village of San Rafael sits Es Tanco, home to some of the very best pizzas you will find on the island. This restaurant is an Ibiza institution and has long been a popular meeting place for pre party dinner and drinks. But they are most loved for their fabulous pizzas, always cooked to perfection, and the most extensive menu, with 40 different variations of pizza to choose from! Their huge popularity also led to a new restuarnt opening in San Jordi a few years ago, so now you can enjoy their slices in either location.

El Pirata

In a prime location in the new port of Ibiza, offering breathtaking views over the harbour and the dazzling superyachts, El Pirata is one of our best loved pizzerias. Owned and run with passion by the charismatic Gualtiero, you can always be assured of the warmest of welcomes here. And the pizza? Well, their speciality is serving the hugest pizzas you can imagine, designed for sharing, and they will make them to order, so you can choose your own toppings for each section should you wish. No visit to Ibiza Town would be complete without tasting their divine offerings!

La Vela Cala Llonga

Don’t be fooled by the unassuming exterior of this charming pizzeria located in the resort of Cala Llonga. Step inside and be amazed by the welcoming decor, and the smell of freshly baked pizza, straight from their traditional wood burning oven. This is a great place for those on a budget as prices are incredibly low, but the quality is exceptional. Hugely popular with locals and holidaymakers alike, La Vela is one of Ibiza´s best kept secrets, so shh, don´t tell everyone!

Carpe Diem – Jesus

Funky, fresh and fabulous, that’s the only way to describe this cool pizza hangout in the centre of the town of Jesus. The modern decor and bright orange colours which adorn the wall give it a vibrant feel, and they pride themselves on offering pizzas made in the traditional way, but with a modern twist and only using the very freshest of ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible. All of the mozzarella used on their creations is handmade right here in Ibiza, you can´t get much fresher than that! A favourite Jesus dining destination.

Babylon Beach

This stylish beach bar on the outskirts of Santa Eulalia introduced pizzas to its already excellent Mediterranean menu last summer, with resounding success. Is it the wood fired purpose built pizza oven, the new and talented Italian chef, or the fresh, organic ingredients that make them so good. We can´t decide, but they are truly delicious, very generously sized, and bursting with flavour. Highly recommended!

So, when you need pizza in a hurry, don´t worry! The only problem you will have is deciding which one to choose!
