A Girls Essential Ibiza Packing Guide
With ever decreasing luggage allowances on airlines, and stricter security measures in airports, packing is becoming more and more of an art form. With some careful planning and savvy ideas, it can be easier than you think to plan your perfect Ibiza suitcase! Follow our guide to the Ibiza essentials.
Bikinis are very small and lightweight – and an essential part of any Ibiza wardrobe! If you plan to spend most of your time poolside then be sure to take a few options. Swimwear can also work well as part of your nightime wardrobe as well. Team a sparkly kaftan with a colourful bikini top and high heels for a trip to one of the islands famous nightspots. A sarong can also be a handy item – very versatile for a trip to the beach or as a lunchtime cover-up.
Many brands now offer miniature sized toiletries which are ideal for a holiday. Pack smaller sized shampoos, conditioners and showergels to take up less room and valuable weight in your case. Suncream is an essential item, especially on the sunny shores of Ibiza. For makeup, check out celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury’s new eponymous range. Born and raised here on the island she has recently launched a summer collection, designed with Ibiza in mind. Her new Beach Stick is a versatile product, for use on eyes, cheeks and lips to give you that sun kissed glow. Check your airlines toiletries allowance as most liquid items must be no more than 100ml and should all fit in one ziplock plastic bag.
No outfit is complete without a few accessories. Don’t forget to pack your favourite jewellery, belts and handbags to complement your outfit choice. A larger bag for all your beach essentials as well as a smaller option for the evenings – you just need to be able to fit in your lipstick, money and keys and you are ready to go!
Check with your villa booking agent as to what your accommodation provides. Many places will have hairdryers already in place, meaning you can leave yours at home. You may want to pack straighteners, curling tongs or other styling tools for your ‘do’. Remember to bring UK to European plug adapters if using a UK bought product.
Mini Medical Pack
If you take regular medications, be sure to get your supplies stocked up before you leave. It’s also a good idea to pack mosquito repellent, antiseptic creams, and perhaps some painkillers for the morning after the night before! The pharmacies here are well stocked and usually have an English speaking member of staff to help in any emergency situations.
Most importantly – pack a big smile and enjoy your Ibiza experience!
