If you’re thinking of booking a holiday to Ibiza, but are in need of some inspiration, here are a few ideas to spark your imagination. From fine dining to deep-sea diving, there are plenty of surprising reasons (as well as some less surprising ones) to travel to the White Island this year.

Opening Parties

This should be a fairly obvious one, but mid-May to early June is a great time to visit Ibiza, with all of the big-name clubs hosting their opening parties during this period. From Pacha to Space, from Ushuaia to Es Paradis, May marks the start of summer and the island’s gradual reawakening after a winter of hibernation. Tickets can occasionally be hard to come by, and VIP packages will set you back a few hundred pounds, but the atmosphere of an opening-night part is tough to beat. Book one of our stunning villas in the Ibiza Town or Playa d’en Bossa areas for May, or to coincide with closing parties in late September, and prepare to experience the world-famous Ibizan nightlife at its very best.

Fine Dining (with a Twist)

This year, Ibiza will welcome Albert and Ferran Adrià to its shores in a project that is set to combine  the worlds of haute cuisine and theatrical entertainment. Since the closure of the world-beating El Bulli in 2011, marking the end of a run that saw it five times claim the top slot in Restaurant Magazine’s survey of the world’s best eateries, the Adrià brothers have engaged in a number of food-based initiatives in their native Catalonia. Until now, though, they have largely applied their talents to individual, if complementary, projects; the Ibiza-based venture offering the prospect of an exciting new collaboration. Partnering with the Cirque du Soleil, the brothers have been reluctant to divulge any precise details in regards to the format of their dining-come-spectacle experiment, but the results are sure to be interesting and, given their pedigree, absolutely delicious. When it opens, the restaurant will join a host of other fine-dining establishments that have arrived on Ibiza in recent years, solidifying the island’s burgeoning reputation as a foodie-friendly holiday destination.

Outdoor Adventure

Beyond the crowded resorts and buzzing tourist towns, Ibiza has a lot to offer walkers, cyclists and water-sport enthusiasts. In the north of the island, within the municipality of San Juan Bautista, there are acres of beautiful pine-forest trails, perfect for a gentle afternoon stroll or a more challenging day-long hike. Boasting views of the iconic Es Vedrà, the cliff-top mountain-biking routes of the south west are also noteworthy, as are the region’s many hidden beaches and coves where it is possible to enjoy a swim with barely another soul in sight. Finally, Ibiza’s crystal-clear waters make for superb diving conditions, and there are several local companies who provide reasonably-priced excursions and equipment hire, allowing you to experience the island’s diverse marine environment at close quarters.

Whatever type of vacation you have in mind, Ibiza is guaranteed to offer something that will appeal to your tastes, and the same goes for our superb range of luxury villas, located throughout the island.
