Ibiza’s Superclubs: A quick run-down on the massive clubs that have made Ibiza famous, attracting world-class DJ’s and thousands upon thousands of clubbers each year. Each club hosts various club nights, offering a huge variety of music styles, themes and spectacles.
Space has won countless ‘Best Club in the World’ awards. Located in Playa den Bossa, it’s one of the most popular clubs on the island. This is Carl Cox’s playground. He’s been headlining here since 2001. Richie Hawtin’s relatively new night Enter is also gaining huge momentum.
Located in Ibiza Town, Pacha is Ibiza’s original club. You’ll see its iconic Cherries plastered all over Ibiza, from billboards to t-shirts. Top nights here include the famous Flower Power parties on Tuesdays and David Guetta’s F*** Me I’m Famous! nights on Thursdays.
Open since 2011, Ushuaia is located right on Playa den Bossa beach. Ushuaia is a daytime club, which gets going from early afternoon. With massive festive-style stage and swimming pool in the middle of the dance floor, it’s quickly become an icon in Ibiza. Big names include David Guetta, Sasha, Avici and Loco Dice.
Located off the main road between Ibiza Town and San Rafael, Amensia is another recipient of numerous ‘Best Club in the World’ awards. This huge warehouse type building plays host to some of Ibiza’s most legendary nights incuding Sven Vath’s Cocoon on Mondays, as well as popular drag-night La Troya on Wednesdays.
Located just near San Rafael and a minute up the road from Amensia, Privilege is the worlds largest club with capacity for 10,000 people. Nothing can quite prepare you for the enormity and spectacle of this club however. Its most popular nights include Supermartxe and A State of Trance.
Located in the centre of San Antonio, Eden has been given a full renovation, ready for the 2014 season. Eden plays host to Ministry of Sound nights, as well as the always-popular Judgment Fridays (previously Judgment Sundays).
Also located right in in San Antonio, Es Paradise is without doubt one of the most beautiful clubs on the island, with a white interior and large indoor gardens. It has been hosting its water parties, Fiesta del Agua for over 30 years as well as the famous HedKandi nights.
Housed in an old aircraft hanger at the end of the runway at Ibiza Airport, just near Playa den Bossa, DC10 is more underground and slightly cheaper than the other more famous clubs but it’s just as good. Circo Loco is their biggest night.
