Children’s Christmas events
Of course, Christmas is especially magical for children, and there are a number of lovely events specifically designed for little people. The team behind the childcare group Sabina Baby are hosting a very special event at La Cicadas in Santa Gertrudis on Sunday 13th December from 11.00-16.00. There will be a host of lovely activities for children, including festive themed arts and crafts where budding artists will have the chance to create their own tree decorations, face painting, a Christmas movie, and of course a very special appearance from Santa himself! Entrance to the event is 12€ per adult and 6€ per child and the fee covers all activities, plus a dish of chilli con carne or veggie chilli and a glass of mulled wine for parents, what more could you ask for? If you fancy a festive meal before the actual day then we can highly recommend The Olive Tree in San Antonio, already a firm favourite with island residents because of their excellent Sunday roasts, they are open every Sunday until 20th December, serving a fantastic Christmas menu, including of course a traditional turkey lunch, with other options including roast leg of Ibicencan lamb, and some mouthwatering desserts, we can’t wait to try the apple, lemon and cinnamon strudel!
