Top Three Curry Restaurants In Ibiza

So, you are on holiday in Ibiza, enjoying all that the island has to offer, the endless days of sunshine, fabulous nightlife and glorious beaches. Fine dining restaurants are easily found and there are lovely local traditional Spanish tapas bars on every corner. However, sometimes, that just doesn’t cut it. We all know that feeling when you simply need a great, spicy, authentic curry, regardless of the fact that its 40 degrees outside! But never fear, Ibiza has some excellent curry houses to choose from. Here is our pick of the best.

If you catch the curry craving whilst in the capital of the island, Ibiza Town, then there is only one place to go. Ancient People is a quirky, eclectic and bohemian spot situated very centrally on the famous Avenida Espana. The menu is a mixture of all your usual favourites with a few extra special dishes added for good measure. For something slightly different, why not try the fish curry, tender hake fish sautéed in a spicy curry sauce, with coconut milk & mustard seeds for an added kick. The decor is comfortable and welcoming with low tables and huge colourful cushions and drapes giving it a real feel of Old India, with a little extra Ibiza style!

Kathmandu – Santa Eulalia

In the very heart of the aptly named ‘Restaurant Street’ in the lovely town of Santa Eulalia you will find this little gem. Kathmandu has become one of the most popular restaurants in town since it opened in 2010, and is regularly packed to the rafters, even in the off season months. The menu offers a selection of all of your favourite dishes with an added Nepalese twist, reasonable prices and effusively friendly staff. We love the Lamb Rogan Josh, and the poppadoms with the delicious chunky mango chutney to start. However, be warned, if you order a naan bread, share it with your companion, they are enormous! As we said, Kathmandu is eternally popular with residents and holidaymakers alike so we highly recommend booking in advance to secure your table.

Curry Club – San Antonio

Over to San Antonio and where the much loved Curry Club restaurant has been serving up mouthwatering Indian food for over fifteen years. Ideally located just a stone’s throw from the world famous Sunset Strip – you can choose to dine either inside their exquisitely decorated restaurant area, or sit under the stars in the pretty terrace garden. Great care and attention has gone into the decor of both areas, and it is really quite an enchanting spot. The food is tasty, authentic and can be cooked to order depending on your taste buds and tolerance for spiciness!
