Weather in Ibiza May to June
May and June are magical months to visit Ibiza. The island is green and fresh having just come through spring. The weather during the day is clear, sunny and warm, reaching highs of 22 – 26°C (71.5 – 27.8°F) while the nights are still slightly cool so you’ll need to wear a light jacket at night. The water in May is brisk, around 18°C (64.4°F) but people are beginning to swim. By June the water is becoming more inviting, around 21.5°C (70.7°F).
The charm of these months, as well as late September and October, is that the island is peaceful, without the peak season crowds, yet most establishments are open. These shoulder months are perfect for families with young children, or those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle to simply relax.
Weather in Ibiza July to August
July and August are the hottest months in Ibiza. The sun shines all day and the parties last all night. During the day, temperatures regularly soar to 29°C (84°F), often heading into the early thirties. In the evening, temperatures don’t fall below 21°C (70°F) so you can get by in T-shirts, flip-flops and sun dresses 24/7. By August, the water temperature is around 25 – 27°C (77 – 80°F) so heavenly for beach lovers. It rarely rains in July or August in Ibiza, so you are guaranteed loads of sunshine and long days on the beach.
Weather in Ibiza September to October
The buzz of peak season continues through September, with temperatures still high, the water still warm and the parties still in full swing. Daytime temperatures in September are still very warm, reaching 27°C (81°F) and drop no lower than 20°C (68°F) at night. In October, Ibiza starts to slow down but it’s still a very special time to come. The crowds have gone and accommodation prices are far less than peak season, yet most establishments are still open. October in Ibiza sees highs of 23°C (74°F) and in the evening temperatures fall to a minimum of 16°C (61°F). On average, September and October have eight days of rain, so it’s worthwhile packing some wet weather clothes, just in case.
