Things for kids to do in Ibiza

Any parent will tell you that keeping the kids entertained makes for a more relaxing and stress-free holiday for everyone. Here are our top tips for activities for kids on holiday in Ibiza, perfect to keep the whole family happy. Most resorts in Ibiza have standard play parks with slides, climbing frames, swings etc. where children can play in safety. However, there are many other activities they can enjoy, some which may interest the big kids too!

Go Karting Ibiza

There are Go Kart tracks in San Antonio and Santa Eulalia, meaning there is a track on both sides of the island. Both are ideal (and have karts) for adults and children over the age of 3, and will kit you out like a racing driver for your race. Anyone not competing can stay in the ‘pit stop’ and enjoy a drink or something to eat in the café bar they watch the action.

Horse Riding in Ibiza

Horse riding is a great way to explore Ibiza as a family. There are many riding schools in Ibiza, so every standard of rider is catered for, from expert to beginner. In most cases, the views and tracks are only available to the riding schools, so we have selected one of the best, Ibiza Horse Valley who offers several experiences to explore the North of Ibiza on horseback. All year round they offer the Half Day experience (total approx 4-5 hrs) through the mountains and the Full Day experience (total approx 8 hrs) to the beach.  On request they offer custom made camping treks, special days or bigger groups events - more than 8 riders. The Valley's location is also available for photoshoots (fashion & weddings) and cinematic opportunities.

Friend´s Kitchen - Playa Dén Bossa

Friends kitchen is a restaurant and bowling alley located in Playa Dén Bossa. The menu features American cuisine with a twist and is perfect for a family day out. The venue also boasts a bowling alley and arcade games, so this venue will be sure to keep the little ones entertained whilst you enjoy a cocktail or two!

Acrobosc Adventure Park

Situated in a large copse of pine trees in between Santa Eulalia and Es Cana, Acrobosc is an assault course with a difference. You are fitted with a safety harness and given basic training to begin with, then off you go! You can slide down zipwires, walk between the trees on tightropes and scramble up cargo nets suspended six metres in the air. Safety is paramount and children under 8 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Slingshot park

Behind the main beach in San Antonio, you can’t fail to spot the Slingshot towers dominating the skyline. For the true adrenaline junky, the Slingshot is a giant catapult that fires you eighty metres into the air at 160 kph! A truly unique experience that can be relived afterwards when you can watch a DVD of your ride, with option to buy. There is no age limit but riders must be at least 110cm. Also in the park are bumper cars, a couple of fairground rides and refreshment stalls.

Alpaca Farm

This is a great adventure for the little ones, the farm itself is home to over 10 alpacas where you can feed and play with them. Es Currals Alpacas Ibiza is the very first alpaca farm in Ibiza and is located in the rural north of the island, on an authentic finca in a beautiful natural setting.

family Friendly Beaches

Obviously, some of Ibiza’s beaches are more child friendly than others. Es Cana, Cala Bassa, Cala Gracio, Santa Eulalia and the Portinatx beaches, among others, have shallow waters and activities available to make them ideal for families. Most beaches offer watersports like bodyboarding, jetski hire, banana boats, pedaloes and parasailing to keep even the most active little ones busy.

Bam Bu-Ku by O Beach

Bam-Bu-Ku is an outdoor waterpark and restaurant designed like a tropical lagoon, offering plenty of fun activities and events for families. Located next to sister venue O Beach Ibiza, you can stroll in right from the seaside promenade that runs along the bay of San Antonio. One of Bam-Bu-Ku's biggest attractions is the FLOWRIDER, a wave machine where children and adults can ride the powerful swell of water and take surf lessons. There is also a beautiful swimming pool lined by comfortable day beds for those who prefer to relax. Enjoy lunch or dinner with live music and DJ sets, costumed characters, and face-painting to keep children and grown-ups alike entertained.
